The Lightfair 2016 Innovation Awards honors industry innovations for lighting-related products and designs introduced in the past 12 months. An independent panel of renowned lighting professionals judged over 270 products this year at the 27th-annual Lightfair trade show located in San Diego, from April 26 to April 28.
Here are this year’s highest honors:
Most Innovative Product of the Year: Philips Gardco SoftView LED parking garage luminaire
This surface pendant or trunnion mounted LED parking garage fixture combines both uplighting and edgelighting to create uniform illumination and eliminating the cave effect for parking.
Available in 3000K, 4000K, and 5700K, it delivers up to 8,614 lumens, with zero-to-10V dimming, wireless controls, and integral motion response. Accessories include a step-down transformer and handheld programmer. Finishes are white, bronze, medium gray, custom, or RAL colors.
Technical Innovation Award: OneFrame DRDHNJD Recessed LED Downlight, DMF Lighting
The OneFrame is the first LED created for multifamily construction on mind. Its unique low profile and small aperture downlight is fire-rated, eliminating the costly drywall boxing. Round and square trims are offered.
Design Excellence Award: Rayee, Adot Lighting
The aluminium alloy tasklight also has been named the winner of Indoor Decorative (Chandeliers, Pendants, Sconces). The tasklight features an integrated ultra-thin alloy body of 5.5mm bending in shape without any joints or welds.
